E-2 visa consulting for treaty investors
We take an E-2 investor from the first budget conversation to an operating, documented business: selection, purchase or launch, investment records, the business plan and interview preparation. Your independent immigration attorney prepares and files the visa; we coordinate with them.

What an engagement covers
Pick the full engagement or individual parts. Every engagement has a written scope and fixed fees agreed after the first consultation.
TealBridge Consulting is a business consulting firm, not a law firm. Legal services, including immigration filings, are provided by independent licensed attorneys in our partner network under their own engagement agreements.
- 01
Eligibility and strategy
We review your nationality, capital, source of funds and experience against the E-2 criteria and agree a route: start, buy or franchise. A partner attorney confirms legal eligibility.
- 02
Business selection
Three or four real options with numbers, matched to your budget, the proportionality test and your skills. We screen out passive and marginal models early.
- 03
Acquisition or launch
For purchases: search, due diligence, valuation and an escrow structure released on visa approval. For new companies: entity, bank, lease, licenses, vendors and first hires.
- 04
Investment documentation
A clean record of every dollar: source of funds, path of funds, invoices and contracts reconciled to bank statements, so the investment is visibly committed and at risk.
- 05
Consulate-format business plan
Five-year projections, hiring plan and market analysis written from the real numbers of your business, so you can defend each figure at the interview.
- 06
Attorney coordination and interview preparation
Your independent immigration attorney prepares and files the application. We hand over organized evidence and prepare you to explain your business plan.
- 07
Renewal readiness
Updated financials, payroll records and a refreshed plan when your attorney prepares a renewal or extension.

Questions about E-2 consulting
What does an E-2 visa consultant do?
An E-2 consultant works on the business side of the case: choosing or buying the business, structuring and documenting the investment, writing the business plan and preparing the investor to explain it. Legal advice and the visa filing itself come from a licensed immigration attorney.
Do I still need an immigration attorney?
Yes. Only a licensed attorney can give legal advice and represent you. We work alongside independent attorneys from our partner network, whom you engage directly under their own agreement, and coordinate the work so you have one point of contact.
How much does E-2 consulting cost?
Fees depend on scope: a business plan alone, acquisition advisory or a full launch engagement. We quote a fixed scope after the initial consultation, which is without charge.
Can you help if I am already in the U.S.?
Yes. Many clients are in the U.S. on another status and change to E-2 through USCIS, which your attorney files. The business and documentation work is the same.
